Uplay tells me to download Watch Dogs 2 even though I already installed it from EGS
[I apologize in advance because my English isn't that great]
So recently I had just claimed free Watch Dogs 2 but after installing it on the Epic Games Store, when I click 'Launch' it goes to Uplay and then shows me an error code with digits of 17008 and I was confused, but then I noticed in the Uplay game section thing, It shows Watch Dogs 2 as not installed, which is weird because I already downloaded the game in EGS and it shows I have 37.77gb worth of installed game, I tried to locate game files from the Uplay launcher but it still didn't work (I think I chose the right folder, it's located in C/Program Files/Epic Games/Watchdogs2) so for the people who have the solutions please help me, I played this game on my friend's PS4 and it was so good.[

Sorry my bad english, just create a new folder next to that the same if you want. search the game folder (game path of epic games) go to "installer" folder and open "autorun.exe" and select the folder you made and wait c:Ubisoft Support Staff Join Date Oct 2018 Posts 3,226

Hi basically epic games just downloaded the installation files, after that the game has been downloaded yes, but would still have to be installed. hence the second installation from uplay.

Just to clarify, the Uplay application is installing and allocating your game files. Additionally, you might expect a patch to be downloaded, as all updates are coming directly from Uplay.

Epic Games Launcher does say it's Installed though.
EGL says it's installed, with the option to uninstall the 37GB game. When you click on it in Epic, it directs you to the Uplay launcher to install it in order to play it. Another
30GB total size. What's the deal?
it says downloading and is eating my bandwidth too
i installed watch dogs 2 from epic store and launched it
did the login stuff and it is now downloading an additional 22gb and is eating my bandwidth too.
if it was just installing it shouldnt be eating up my bandwidth right?
am i doing something wrong. should i hav changed the install directory when it asked me in UPLAY to something else instead of leaving it on default?

Забрал игру через эпик геймс, при входе попросили номер, я скипнул, а затем юбисофт просят ввести ключ активации, где его взять?
Обычно при первом запуске игр от ubisoft в egs требуется связать аккаунт эпиков с аккаунтом Uplay. Либо открывается окно ввода логина и пароля uplay, после чего никакие ключи никуда вводить не требуется.
у меня уже есть watch dogs, связанный с Uplay, а когда запускаю watch dogs 2, то сразу появляется окошко, где просят ключ активации

Недавно получил в Эпик гейм бесплатную вотч догс, скачал, запустил - итог, не запускается. В диспетчере задач просто надпись приостановлено и .. вылет. Что делать? Как решить ?
переустанови и все нормас будет, баг такой просто в epic games
3 раза переустанавливал, не помогает. Доп п. о по типу vcredist и т. д тоже переустановил, в папке support в игре.

У вас одно решение-переустанови, переустановки, вы не знаете и дичь всякую пишите, которая и так логична
Юплей нужен, связать аккаунты, удалить игру из эпик стор, и запускать через юплей
Смотрите, я игру скачал и там, и там. Удалил из эпика, а в юплей у меня она уже есть, в смысле связать? Эпик и юплей у меня связанны, но при запуске у меня игра не запускается

After you purchase the game from the epic store, click install
Choose your install location and install the game (i.e. /c/somepath/epic)
Launch your game
Find where your game was installed (/c/somepath/epic/watchdogs)
Rename the watchdogs folder to Watch_Dogs
go into Watch_Dogs/bin and run Watch_Dogs.exe
Ubisoft will load, prompting you to log in
Ubisoft will ask you to choose your location to install
Select /c/somepath/epic (it automatically appends /Watch_Dogs because dumbness)
