There is a new version of this mod by Plumberz72 called "Dead Courier's Stash", for those that may want to collect these items a little further down the road.

It takes these bodies and places them in Primm instead of Goodsprings. He also gives each of them unique delivery orders and makes them the other couriers that were carrying the other gaming items to New Vegas. The player is Courier 6. Courier 4 was already there in front of the Mojave Express. These bodies are Couriers 1, 2, 3, and 5. I assume they were in Primm to collect their payment when the escaped convicts hit town.

Version 1.1 with Combat Leather Jacket by MarsPistol. He has recently changed his permissions to allow other modders to use his jacket. This Combat Leather Jacket is a recreation of a piece of armor from Fallout 2. As soon as I saw that mod I thought that it is the piece of armor that should have been included with the Caravan Pack instead of the Lightweight Leather Armor that we got, simply because it was a classic armor from one of the original games. I have placed this new (old) armor on the caravan guard body in place of the original armor. If you still want the preorder Lightweight Leather Armor, I've dropped it into the bed of the pickup in front of Doc Mitchell's. You will need the meshes and textures from MarsPistol's mod:

Using his esp file is not required, only the meshes and textures are needed. However, if you want to be able to craft it and see it being used by enemies, you can go ahead and activate the esp from MarsPistol's mod. If you do this, the only anomaly you will see is that the jacket in my mod will always be a separate item, even though it has identical stats. I've also uploaded an optional mesh replacement for the male version of the jacket adjusted to work with Breeze's New Vegas Males. If MarsPistol chooses to include this mesh in his own mod, I may take it out of mine.

This mod requires all four of the preorder packs included in the Courier's Stash DLC.

This mod kills the automatic loading of the Courier's Stash items into your inventory when you wake up in Doc Mitchell's, which speeds up the start of the game considerably. I always found this very immersion breaking. Instead, there are now four bodies in and around Goodsprings, each carrying one of the preorder packs. I know there are other mods that are similar. But, one I've seen places the items into leveled list for you to find or buy, not what I was looking for. Another is a series, eventually to be consolidated into one, that will place the items at new locations around the Mojave (a cool idea actually).

I am aiming for simplicity here. In keeping with the spirit of the preorder packs, these items can be found at the beginning of the game. There is a boundry around Goodsprings that causes the familiar popup allowing you to rebuild your courier one last time before leaving. All these bodies are within that boundry.

Here is a little background about each of these wastelanders. I tried to make them look like the characters shown in the Preorder Pack ads.
1. The tribal was mistaken for a raider by the good people of Goodsprings and staked out on the ground at the entrance of town to die. This one is the easiest to find.
2. An adventurer carrying vault gear was explorering with a couple of others near Goodsprings and ran afoul of some local wildlife. The others in the party (already in the game) got cornered and couldn't get away. Our adventurer got away but not very far.
3. A caravan guard with Ringo's caravan was able to get to cover when the Powder Gangers attacked and made a break for it when he saw it was plainly hopeless. He ran west into several radscorpions. Suffering from Radscorpion venom poisoning, he almost made it to Goodsprings before he died.
4. An insane/bored mercenary was looking for loot and trouble. He found out that his grenade rifle didn't work very well against fast moving cazadores. He, also, nearly made it to Goodsprings before expiring.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As many of you know, the original Weathered 10mm pistol from the Classic Pack has a graphics bug that does not display any weapon mods added to it. The upgrades will work, you just can't see them on the gun in the game. This mod contains the fix for the Weathered 10mm Pistol by Chucksteel, which is actually a replacer. His fix had a bug that showed the appearance of the regular 10mm pistol when you equipped it before adding any upgrades. I was able to resolve that so this fix is NEW and IMPROVED!

You may use assets of this mod on the Nexus as long as you credit me, and also Chucksteel if you use the gun fix.
