Assetto corsa зависает populating favorites

Всем привет! Я люблю играть в гонки на клавиатуре и у меня это получается очень не плохо и вот моё доказательство того, что на клавиатуре можно очень хорошо играть в гонки и получать от этого экспириенс. Раньше я пытался повысить сложность в Assetto corsa больше 90%, но не мог нормально завершить квалификацию. Но тут решил попробовать пройти хоть одну гонку на 100% сложности и это у меня получилось на 3ий день и даже несколько гонок подряд, особенно легко проходиться на Lamborghini Huracan ST на трассе Red Bull Ring, прохождение которой в этом ролике с 01:33.

Hi guys, I am getting stuck on this loading "populating favorites" screen everytime my cars folder gets bigger than 132Gb. I have a huge amount of car mods available but I cant load all of them into the game. I have tried many suggestions but no luck so far. The only problem seems to be exactly the folder size.
Any ideas?

load the game using Content Manager
extract some modded cars from your folder until the game starts (more likely it's some modded car that causes a mess. it could be the 2015 Mustang GT mod )
perform an integrity check with Steam

yeah, I don't have any problems below 132Gb worth of car mods and I had already try all you said before but so far the only solution is to use Content Manager to run them all! I am prety sure that there is a limit on cars folder size to be loaded but It would be great if someone could check this and let us know.

Are you sure that's not some modded car to give problems? yes, It happens regardless of the mod I remove from the folder. I mean it couldnt be a mod that is preventing the app from loading more than 132GB. I started to delete mods until the problem was solved but the culprit wasnt any specific mod because they all worked fine as long as the folder didnt exceed 132Gb.

If you want an official answer the best thing is to post your issue on the official forums. If there in fact is a hard limit to the size of the car folder they would let you know. I've never come across the problem but then again I've only found about 30 Gb of car mods worth keeping (all of them found here), the rest are not worth the time and effort, especially in terms of physics.

Allow me to disagree about the quality of the mods available in the web.
Assetto Corsa is not my choice if you're looking for good physics however it is indeed the best racing mod plataform out there! And I enjoy all the nearly 150Gb moded cars that deserve to be acessible on the original game lobby. There are so many great mods that I think I don't even drive the Kunos fleet anymore.

Pretty sure you've already figured it out. You found a clear solution which is repeatable.

I'd stop using the Kunos launcher along with the fleet if I were you. (Actually I'd also delete half those clown mods if I were you, but I'm not here to judge.) CM is purpose-made for people with a lot of mod content to, well, manage.

To be honest the content manager sucks but thats what we have so far!
To bad you guys are missing out on really great mods though! I have deleted many, and still have more than 150Gb of amazing vehicles.

My content folder is around 50 GB. I've tried then deleted many tracks and cars that weren't up to, in my opinion, the quality standard of AC (graphically or physics wise). Why don't you post a listing of all of your tracks and cars so we can be enlightened

If you wish to keep everything . just use a mod manager.
Content Manager is not the only solution . the well-known JSGME can do the trick as it does for most sims.
That's the one I'm using for years without any problem ( except enough place needed on HDD ).

When mods or tracks unactivated AC doesn't load them . so, if your problem is your 150 Gb mods or tracks . it may be solved this way if you wish to keep them all.

Personally, 62 Gb in JSGME MODS folder . including mods, tracks, apps, graphic mods and skins . but surely no more than 15 or 20 Gb activated among the 62 Gb available ( and I'm lazy because I'm sure 30 % of this lot might be erased ).

Using this system for Race07, GTR2, Automobilista, RF1 and AC . ( RF2 doesn't need it as it has its own manager ). and never encountered a problem for years. . ( once again except I'll have to buy a bigger HDD . but no problem it's high time for a change . 8 years old ! ).

NB I think another manager ( AC specific ) allows to manage mods but giving the possibility of using another HDD for the install of all mods and tracks in place of one folder in the game itself with JSGME.

Is Assetto Corsa playing OK after you installed Windows 10? My game is stuck in the "populating favorites" while starting and I can't play it. I am not sure Windows 10 is the problem, as I haven't played the game for around a month, but I think that might be the cause.

All the gear, no idea.

Works for me on both upgraded and clean installs of 10

Verify cache integrity of the game. And make sure the assetto corsa folder in Documents has the admin rights to be written and modified.

Right click on game exe. go to properties and change compatibility to Win 7 . I had the same issue.

windows 10 and assetto working here, maybe quicker graphics than win 8.1
but, for info - I updated the amd graphic driver to latest version today and assetto wouldn't work with it.
reverted back to previous driver and it's now working again.

On the topic of Windows 10, have any of you noticed performance/fps improvements (in AC or other sims) with Windows 10?

All the gear, no idea.

I read somewhere that at the moment it's :-
AMD - use windows own AMD drivers
NVIDIA - use nvidia latest drivers from web

yup. big performance improvements on AC and pCars from win7 64bit. i think i got 15-20fps improvement.

I am having the issue of getting in the game, being able to pick my car, track ect. but once I start the session it hangs in loading and goes right back to the menu.. I have tried run as admin and compatibility mode for win 7, still no joy. Can anyone help?

reselect the resolution or the pp filter in the game menu. If doesn't work, then update your video card drivers for win10.

got new drivers ect. that didn't work, I got it to work by re-naming my Assetta Corsa Folder in Documents. I had to reset all my options, but its working now.

Regarding the exact error message. it comes at point when the cars folder is being parsed. so there is a problem with a cars folder.
I had exact same error with the new Fortmula Renault mod. It downloaded & decompressed ok but all the files were blank. So I used the free version of WinZip & it solved the problem. Files are ok. AC loaded as usual.

POPULATING FAVORITES FIX
I had the same problem,usually when I install a new mod. Close the game and restart it. If it happens again, restart it. Sometimes it takes 7-10 restarts for the game to launch properly. Good luck!

Ошибки загрузки/обновления

Проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету, а также скорость загрузки. При слишком высоком пинге или низкой пропускной способности обновление может выдавать ошибки.

Если магазин или лончер Assetto Corsa не завершает обновления или выдает ошибки, то переустановите саму программу. При этом все скачанные вами игры сохранятся.

Запустите проверку целостности данных игры.

Проверьте наличие свободного места на том диске, на котором установлена игра, а также на диске с операционной системой. И в том и в другом случае должно быть свободно места не меньше, чем занимает игра на текущий момент. В идеале всегда иметь запас около 100Гб.

Проблемы с модами

Игра не запускается

Игра вылетает на рабочий стол без ошибок.
О: Скорее всего проблема в поврежденных файлах игры. В подобном случае рекомендуется переустановить игру, предварительно скопировав все сохранения. В случае если игра загружалась из официального магазина за сохранность прогресса можно не переживать.

Assetto Corsa не работает на консоли.
О: Обновите ПО до актуальной версии, а так же проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету. Если полное обновление прошивки консоли и самой игры не решило проблему, то стоит заново загрузить игру, предварительно удалив с диска.

Ошибка 0xc000007b.

О: Есть два пути решения.
Первый — полная переустановка игры. В ряде случаев это устраняет проблему.
Второй состоит из двух этапов:

Ошибка 0xc0000142.

О: Чаще всего данная ошибка возникает из-за наличия кириллицы (русских букв) в одном из путей, по которым игра хранит свои файлы. Это может быть имя пользователя или сама папка в которой находится игра. Решением будет установка игры в другую папку, название которой написано английскими буквами или смена имени пользователя.

Ошибка 0xc0000906.

О: Данная ошибка связана с блокировкой одного или нескольких файлов игры антивирусом или “Защитником Windows”. Для её устранения необходимо добавить всю папку игры в исключени. Для каждого антивируса эта процедура индивидуально и следует обратиться к его справочной системе. Стоит отметить, что вы делаете это на свой страх и риск. Все мы любим репаки, но если вас часто мучает данная ошибка — стоит задуматься о покупке игр. Пусть даже и по скидкам, о которых можно узнать из новостей на нашем сайте.

Отсутствует msvcp 140.dll/msvcp 120.dll/msvcp 110.dll/msvcp 100.dll

О: Ошибка возникает в случае отсутствия на компьютере корректной версии пакета Microsoft Visual C++, в который и входит msvcp 140.dll (и подобные ему). Решением будет установка нужной версии пакета.

Нажимаем на Windows + R;
Вводим команду“regsvrЗ2 msvcp140.dll”(без кавычек);
Нажимаем “ОК”;
Перезагружаем компьютер.

Ошибка 0xc0000009a/0xc0000009b/0xc0000009f и другие
О: Все ошибки начинающиеся с индекса 0xc0000009 (например 0xc0000009a, где на месте “а” может находиться любая буква или цифра) можно отнести к одному семейству. Подобные ошибки являются следствием проблем с оперативной памятью или файлом подкачки.

Перед началом выполнения следующих действий настоятельно рекомендуем отключить часть фоновых процессов и сторонних программ, после чего повторно попробовать запустить Assetto Corsa .
Увеличиваем размер файла подкачки:

Клик правой кнопкой на значку компьютера, а далее: "Дополнительные параметры системы" - "Дополнительно" - "Быстродействие" - "Дополнительно" - "Виртуальная память" - "Изменить".
Выбираем один диск, задаем одинаковый размер.
Перезагружаемся.

Размер файла подкачки должен быть кратен 1024. Объём зависит от свободного места на выбранном локальном диске. Рекомендуем установить его равным объему ОЗУ.
Если ошибка 0xc0000009а сохранилась, необходимо проверить вашу оперативную память. Для этого нужно воспользоваться функциями таких программ как MemTest86, Acronis, Everest.
