All of the levels from the previous versions are back and more! I also added in the Encore mode stages! As a bonus, I even added AIZ Extended from jubbalub.
Here's a heads up: KapuDaKoopa and I figured out that there are many slots that can be used in Competition Plus. So if you want your stage to be featured, make sure it is Multiplayer friendly and I'll see what I can do.

With a heavy heart, I sadly announce that Competition Plus will have no further updates. Our coder, CarJem, has new things going on in life and with that means less and less time to work on this mod. Thank you all for joining us on this ride, it's been a blast! And even still, with the cancellation of this mod, you all still have WAY more stages to play on than in the base game, like maybe quadruple the number of stages or something, perhaps even more! So, don't be sad that the mod is over, be happy that it happened. To think, Version 5 wasn't even supposed to exist anyway, I wanted to end the mod at Version 4, but he decided to pitch in his efforts and why would I turn that down? So, I am still very much happy with the amount of stuff he was able to cram into Version 5 before life got too much to juggle.
I officially announce, Competition Plus, to be completed. (or canceled, depends on how you see it)
With that being said, we have, however, decided to make the mod open source. So, for any Sonic Mania coders, or just curious people in general, go nuts!
(P.S. I deeply apologize to any mod creators who really wanted to see their mod in Competition Plus, sorry I was unable to fulfill your request. And just one final thing to say. Later today (or tomorrow) I'll be publishing a video to YouTube to celebrate the many years and versions of Competition Plus. Here's to the future. Thanks for Racing. )

Introducing the 2020 Halloween DEMO for Competition Plus! We've been working on this ever since the beginning of October and now it's time to finally release it! Be aware that this is NOT the final version of the mod and bugs may occur, but through my testing, the mod should work smoothly.

So while announcer swapping is now disabled, that doesn't mean they're completely gone. In fact, each one of them is still in the files. The reason why this feature was removed was because the announcers were causing certain stages to crash.
If you would like to swap your announcer, please go swap them out manually

EVERY STAGE IS HERE!
Checkpoint Zone acts as the HUB world for this mod. In here, you'll be able to alter match rules and advance settings, check the leaderboards for everyone's rankings, and just have fun running around with friends. [NOTICE: Checkpoint Zone is NOT finished. There are things still left to come and plenty of visual improvements to be made.]
A cool feature of Checkpoint Zone that I wanted to point out is that you can now choose the same character as someone else! Meaning if you all wanted to play Sonic, now you can! No more rushing to get a character first because everyone can be exactly who they want!
Checkpoint Zone is a pretty decently sized HUB world and perhaps you don't want to have to run around everywhere just to set things up and enter a match. So to remedy this, Checkpoint Zone has a place you can warp to at any time called the Quick Warp. When in the Quick Warp, you'll be able to quickly travel to any major location in Checkpoint Zone! No longer will you have to run around doing errands just to set things up.
Whenever you're ready to actually start a match, go and pay a visit to Dr. Robotnik/Dr. Eggman. Use the controllers placed along the ceiling to choose your Level Select, then press the button to travel there. You'll be sent to the Level Select of your choice, waiting with loads of levels at your disposal to race in.
Oh! And heads up, certain Character mods should work. I can't guarantee that they all work, but just test them out. Some works while others don't. Stage mods, however, don't work. But don't worry as many, many, more custom stages are planned to be added in the future.

Sonic Mania Plus and Encore Mode DLC
Sonic Mania Plus gives you two new playable characters: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. Each has their own unique abilities that encourage you to explore levels in new ways.
Sonic Mania Plus also comes with new cutscenes, a pinball bonus stage, four-player competition mode, and Encore mode, which remixes the levels for a slightly different playthrough. In Encore mode, you can also switch between characters mid-level.

Кроме того, игроки смогут изменять правила матчей, задавая количество раундов и выбирая специальные предметы.

Как получить Sonic Mania Unlockables
Играя в режиме Mania, вы постепенно разблокируете новые режимы и опции. Например, режим Time Attack и Competition становятся доступными сразу после завершения первого уровня игры. Другие читы требуют, чтобы вы собирали медали на специальных этапах Синей Сферы.
Вы зарабатываете медаль каждый раз, когда проходите бонусную стадию Синей Сферы. В зависимости от вашей скорости вы получите серебряную золотую медаль, но вам нужны только серебряные медали, чтобы разблокировать дополнения.
