Майнкрафт ошибка failed to authenticate your connection

Many Minecraft players have reported encountering the "Failed to Authenticate your Connection" Error while attempting to join a Minecraft server. The error message blocks the gamers from being able to connect to the server. This is usually the result of a bug within the server itself.

This specific error is usually caused when the Minecraft servers are experiencing problems or your internet connection is unstable. Gamers must have a stable connection to successfully log in and play their favorite game. This means that the error could be caused by either your side or the Minecraft servers. Let's take a look at the possible solutions on your end.

Resolve the error by power cycling your internet router

Sometimes, the Failed to Authenticate your connection error happens when the internet cache that has been built up by the router is clogged, which blocks the player from establishing a secure connection with the Minecraft servers. The corrupted cache can cause the connection to timeout too. So we need to get rid of that cache by completely power-cycling the internet router. Here's how to do so:

  1. Unplug the internet router cable from the socket.
  2. Hold down the power button on the back of the router for a few seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back in and press the power button.
  4. Wait for the internet access to be re-established and check to see if the error still happens.

Restart the Minecraft launcher

On some occasions the game will not launch correctly due to which some files will not be loaded completely or at all. This problem can also stop the game from connecting to a world. Here's how to restart the launcher:

  1. Right-click on the taskbar and select the "Task Manager" or simply press the "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" key combination and select the "Task Manager" option.
  2. Open the "Processes" tab and scroll down and look for anything with "Minecraft" in its name.
  3. Once you find the right process, click on it, and select the "End Task" option to shut it down.
  4. Close the Task Manager.
  5. Restart the Minecraft launcher.
  6. Attempt to connect to a server and check to see if the issue is still there.

Use the Direct Connect option

Sometimes, instead of connecting through the server list we can use the direct connect feature in the multiplayer to connect to a server. Here's how:

  1. Open the Minecraft launcher and get into the server list screen.
  2. Press the "Direct Connect" option located at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Enter "stuck.[server name].net" in this feature and click on "Connect".
  4. Wait for the connection to be established and check to see if you are properly connected.
  5. If you manage to connect successfully then the problem lies with the Minecraft launcher which is somehow preventing you from connecting through the server list.

You'll have to use the direct connect feature, re-install the game, or wait until it's fixed.

Try to log in again.

Sometimes, you may not be properly authorized to enter the server due to a bug. Log out and try to log in again to see if that fixes the error.

Tested with 1.8.9, couldn't join the server, got a "failed to authenticate" message.

Tested with 1.14.4, joined the server at the first attempt

Not ideal when most of the games are designed for 1.8 and at least some don't work so well under newer versions of Minecraft.

-EDIT-
After 15 minutes of trying, finally accessed the server with 1.8.9

that couldve been a coincidence, and 1.13+ sucks for hipicksel

It's not a coincidence. I've just tried joining on BLC 1.8.9 and got the same message. Strange.

It's definitely not a coincidence though. This isn't the first time this issue has occured, and EVERY SINGLE TIME it happens, testing with 1.14 (or some other newer than 1.8 version of Minecraft) results in immediate connection to the server.

It's also worth pointing out that Hypixel is the only server I access that is running in multi-compatibility mode (currently for 1.8 - 1.16), while the few other servers I access/have previously accessed are/were exclusively running either 1.8.9 or 1.14.4 and as far as I can remember none of them have/had never had this issue.

I have never run into this issue and I play on BLC 1.8.9 all the time. This is most likely a problem with you. This error does occur if someone else is on your Minecraft account playing at the same time as you, or you have two Minecraft's open. You would need to simply restart your Minecraft and it would work.

Except simply restarting Minecraft usually doesn't immediately resolve the issue. In fact it can take many minutes, or in the worst case even many hours, to gain access to the server when this issue starts occuring, even if your account is definitely secure, isn't being used by anybody else, and you only have a single copy of the game open. Even testing the 'stuck' address with 1.8.9 doesn't work when this issue is occuring, instead the only test that does seem to consistantly work is trying a newer version of the game.

And if you haven't been affected by the issue then I'm happy for you because you've been one of the lucky ones, but it seems lots of people are affected by this.

What would be good to know from players who are affected by this is if they access other multi-compatibility servers and if they see this same issue on those servers at the same time they see the issue here on Hypixel?
