Ролевая игра от третьего лица - Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain — обладает достаточно примитивной графикой даже для года выхода — 2003, тем не менее разработчики смогли продолжит первую часть с дополнительными нововведениями, которые полностью поменяли механику игры, звуковое сопровождение, а заодно раскрыли сюжетную сторону.
Колонны Нозтота разрушены из-за того, что Каин отказался жертвовать собой. Всё это происходит через 400 лет после окончания первой части. Теперь Каин отправился в образ вампира и решил, что популяцию этой фракции необходимо восстановить. Он становится Ворадорой — вампиром среди людей. Постепенное обращение людей в вампиры приводит к захватнической войне, которую Каин запланировал только из-за своих амбиций. Самое сильное сопротивление оказывает город Меридиан, который выставил против армии вампиров Орден Сарафанцев.
Во время битвы оказывается, что меч Каина — Пожиратель Душ — потерял свои свойства в той войне. Владыка Ордена Сарафанцев истребляет армию вампиров, а Ворадору отправляет в кому. После пробуждения Каин решается забрать меч, отомстить Ордену и определить вампиров к высшей расе.
Нововведений коснулось всё. Локации стали более обширными. Сохранения теперь обозначены на специальных маркерах, которые в игре очерчены кровью. Многие ненужные элементы RPG были беспощадно стерты из игры. Большинство способностей из прошлой игры заменены на умения вампира: Форма Тумана и Ярость. Далее нам открывается Прыжок, Очарование, Берсерк, Телекинез, Испепеление. Некоторые способности требуют полной шкалы «ярости».
Боевая система стала разнообразней. Теперь Каин сможет убивать противников изящнее, а проводя свои вампирские ритуалы — восстанавливать здоровье.

Hey GOG, I know it's sad that Blood Omen 1 isn't on GOG. But there is still a way to play it on windows 10.
Using an openGL wrapper and HQ cutscenes the game plays flawlessly.
You still need to own the original game, either .ISO image or CD to install the wrapper, but once it works it's wonderful.
I am posting here as a mirror, just be sure to download the "Patch + Languages (voices & subs) + HQ Cutscenes + Installer" one and use your original disk.

Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen (GL Wrapper & Patch)
This path redirects legacy DirectDraw graphics into OpenGL 1.1/3.0 and allow play game on modern PC under Windows 10. Numerious problems have been fixed and several PS1 features have been restored
-Game runs on modern PC (Windows 10)
-Game renders via OpenGL 1.1/3.0. If your GPU supports OpenGL 3.0 - game uses it. If no - game uses OpenGL 1.1
-Removed CD check and game can run now without CD. (see "Installation" section)
-Removed system restriction for 4 languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai)
-When switching display modes (F12), the game does not crash now
-When switching display into "Eagle Eye" (F6), the game does not crash now
-Camera zoom is working now, not only for 320x240 mode (like on PS1), but for 640x480 too
-Camera can follow by Kain movement like in PS1 version
-Added feature to run and switch game into windowed mode
-Added feature to switch on/off filtering
-Corrected rendering speed for Nosgoth map and Kain's inventory menu
-Added option to select game rendering speed / frame per second (FPS)
-Added configuration window on startup, similar to Soul Reaver. To disable it - launch the game with command parameter "-noconfig"
-Added FPS counter
-Implemented subtitles engine
-Implemented 3D sounds via OpenAL
-Implemented XInput support with gamepad vibrations
-Arrows keys are duplicated on WSAD keys
-Intro movies and cutscenes are now played in progressive mode
-Cutscenes and flights movies are encoded with better quality
-Game can play stereo sound files for cutscenes
-Added HQ Sound Patch - sound files from PS1 version. Thanks to NobelGas
-Added modified installer from original CD, which help you install game from CD on modern PC together with this pach
