Один из популярнейших вопросов пользователей по поводу Sea of Thieves касается того, пойдет ли игра на операционной системе Windows 7. В целом логика этих вопросов ясна: у легендарной "семерки" по-прежнему огромная доля всего рынка пользователей, которые не хотят или не видят смысла обновляться до "десятки". А сама игра вроде бы выглядит так, что должна бы по-хорошему работать не то что на "семерке", но и на условной Windows XP.
Тем не менее, это только кажется. По факту же Sea of Thieves на Windows 7 никак не заработает, причем ограничение это вызвано тем, что игра разрабатывалась под DirectX 12. Эта версия, как наверняка знают практически все, поддерживается исключительно на Windows 10, а потому ни на одной другой операционной системе игра не запустится. Кроме того, можно еще отметить факт, что игра все время подключена к серверам, то есть ее обязательно надо покупать, а Microsoft Store не функционирует на Windows 7. То есть не то что играть - даже купить Sea of Thieves под этой операционной системой у вас не выйдет.

Yeah dude i know it, but SoT looks pretty good for me since release, and i really struggle in my decision to update or not to update my win7 for this game. Yeah dude i know it, but SoT looks pretty good for me since release, and i really struggl in my decision to update or not to update my win7 for this game. And now, when it come to Steam struggle is getting even harder.
on steam, the list of win 10 only games is very tiny and like mentioned most of them run fine on win 7.
not telling you what you should do, just letting you know that you arent forced or really need to downgrade to win 10 yet.

yet fact is. majority can run on win 7 and some that didnt can easily be changed by fixes from the community.
lets not forget new titles out, even microsoft titles released are win 7 compatible, as well the store saying win 7 or higher.
also as mentioned and the reason why compatibility issues arise between windows OS's.

The game is for Xbox One and Xbox Play Anywhere, which is only capable with Windows 10, that is the main reason why it's Windows 10 only.
The game has also been out for 2 years already and a little research on your part would show you that it is NOT Win 7 compatible. Sorry OP, but looks like if you want to give Sea of Thieves a go it's either get your PC updated to Windows 10 or look at buying an Xbox One and paying that subscription to even play online.

AoE isn't an ONLINE ONLY game meaning that the multiplayer portion of the game is hosted by the player when they set up a game, so the things that the community done to make it compatible with Win 7 won't work here. That is also why the game doesn't require an Xbox live account, which you were adamant there was but proven wrong.
Play Anywhere has everything with it being Windows 10 only, you have literally just proved my point by posting what it is about, it's also funny how you missed the massive text on the main page saying this - "Now when you own an Xbox Play Anywhere digital title, it’s yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC." News flash, Sea of Thieves is a digital title for Xbox Play Anywhere.
You can't use the Play Anywhere feature on Windows 7 as it is only supported by Windows 10. hence why Sea of Thieves can only be played on Windows 10. as it is using the Play Anywhere feature of Xbox. and that is the very reason why if you buy it on Steam you are required to sign in with your Xbox account, so it is ran via the Play Anywhere feature for Windows 10. Steam users won't be just playing with other Steam users due to the fact that you are using Steam as a launcher for the game to play via your Xbox account, hence why you are required to have an Xbox account to even play the game which again, you got proved wrong about not needing.
You are the one spreading misinformation here as the developers themselves has stated quite clearly that it is only for WINDOWS 10.
Again, it has been 2 years since this game was released for PC for Windows 10 and Windows 10 alone, and there are countless threads and information about how it does not and will not work with Windows 7.

Помогите, проблема в чём: в стиме при запуске играть на пару секунд отображается что она запущена, а после этого опять отображается кнопка "играть". При запуске через корневые файлы выдаёт ошибку: точка входа в процедуру createfile2 не найдена в библиотеке dll kernel32.dll. (Пожалуйста, не пишите по типу "поставь совместимость или запусти от имени админа", уже пробовал!)
Из-за операционки, т. к. в системных указано что она на 10 винду а у меня 7 винда. Есть кто играл на 7 винде?
Игра работает только на Win 10, даже стимовская версия использует Microsoft Store и Xbox App для игры.
На 7 винде этого нет.
