It seems that several players are confused about how to use custom bodies and BodySlide in Mod Organizer (MO). The process is very straightforward, so I decided to write instructions as quick link to be shared.

Download CBBE from Nexus through Mod Organizer. Alternatively you can download archive to your hard drive and use MO "Archive search" button from top left corner to locate and load archive from your HD to MO.

Curvy or Slim?: most armor and clothes have been made for Curvy. However, any slider supported piece of gear should conform with Slim, when being ran through BodySlide - as explained below.

Unified UNP (UUNP) does not have a separate download. Body itself is merged to BodySlide application.

It is important to notice that UUNP body in BodySlide does not include any body feature textures. You will have to provide custom textures. Using a custom UUNP body preset is also recommended, because the default body has same values for bot weight 0 and weigh 100.

UUNP body is created with BodySlide batch build. The process is same with CBBE and explained below. The selection between CBBE and BodySlide must be made, when you install BodySlide.

  1. Download and install BodySlide and Outfit Studio through Mod Organizer, as you would install any mod.

Several armors and clothes in Nexus and other sites have so called slider support. Support can be for either CBBE or UUNP. There might also be sliders for both bodytypes, so check carefully.

Big mods usually have these sliders merged to main upload. Smaller releases often have slider support files included under Optional files in Nexus. Pick the support file and install it through MO. You can directly merge it with armor/cloth mod you have downloaded.

You can also install BodySlide slider files as separate mods. MO may warn that it does not find any gameplay data and display them as grey mods. This is usually fine and gear will still appear normally under BodySlide. If you do merge sliders, then make sure to keep an eye out for possible slider updates, because they do not necessarily appear with main file updates.

The root (Data) folder level for all BodySlide slider support mods in MO is CalienteTools. If this is the Data level folder that you see, when installing such mods to MO, then you are good to go.

When open BodySlide, it will prompt you in it's default view. You can see all bodies and supported gear that you have installed from Outfit/Body list, top left corner of MO. Clicking the big Preview button from bottom will allow you to see how they look in your game.

You may also see check boxes named as "zap". These are optional selections that will add or remove parts of the gear. Not all mod authors are using them, so seeing them only with some files and not with others is not a problem. The Preview picture changes according zaps you enable/disable.

If you made changes you wish to save, then click Build button to save them.

You can also preview the body preset that you wish to use from the same list. You will see 0 weight and 100 weight slider in the view. If you wish to make changes, then click Build button to save them. If you are using recommended HDT and XPMSE (XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended) combination, then using CBBE HDT or UUNP HDT - or body preset that you have downloaded to them - is the most optimal and compatible choice.

Make sure that your MO Overwrite folder is empty. It should always be empty.

Important!. Do not skip selecting Morphs, if you are using body presets. In some cases you may loose weight slider properties. This is especially true with UUNP body presets included to BodySlide.

Your timing is perfect as always . I was just thinking about switching over to UUNP. So many more outfits, and from the discussions I've been reading higher quality and better textures as well.

First, I would like to Thank You!

Second, went for CBBE (Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition v3.4f) and downloaded it with MO. Double-cliked it and strated the installment via the CBBE Menu (FOMOD). Then went back to nexus and got Bodyslider, however it is named (BodySlide and Outfit Studio - v3.6). I already have RaceMenu + Coverwomen.

Once donwloaded and installed (Bodyslider and OS) I double cliked it and the Installation Menu opened up (FOMOD). In Option i assume I need to select CBBE? Followed by RaceMenu Morphs for CBBE which eads to the »last« selection option on the first page called Pre-Build Morphable Bodies. What do I need to select here, I am ansure for some of the option would require from me to have »skeleton« mods installed?

2016 в 12:57 Great guide!! You may want to add about needing to pick the body that matches the UUNP textures downloaded. For me it is UNPB, just a little clarification so folks know to pick the correct body. 2016 в 13:26

Using HDT would recuire XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended. HDT+XPMSE is currently the best and most compatible option to have around. Just having HDT does not really stress your game and XPMSE requires it.

If BodySlide asks to rebuild something, then let it rebuild it. However, you ra correct in that some features will require custom skeleton, to work correctly. Support was made for XPMSE+RaceMenu combination. I will need to update that to OP.

XPMSE skeleton is most up to date. If you use it, then you will not need to worry about customa animations or items that require skeleton nodes. XPMSE has all of them.

Using custom skeleton is not mandatory for BodySlide though. It has more to do with animations. There is just little reason not to create HDT compatible body, with all nodes for the game. It will save you from fiddling with features later, if you decide to install them.

Note that you do not need to install NetImmerse Override as a standalone, if you decide to install XMPSE. You already have RaceMenu and NiO is fully merged to it.

I will update the BodySlide name, so that there will not be any confusion.

The selection between CBBE and UUNP is indeed made during BodySlide installation. Selecting UUNP will install UUNP body, which also requires fitting textures.

CBBE requires the main CBBE mod to work correctly. It already has base textures, but you can always provide custom textures instead.

D:\Game\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide

Settings.
  3. указываем путь до папки Data ( пример:D:\Game\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\Data\)

I've recently switched from Nexus Mod Manager to Mod Organizer. Everything is working fine so far, except for a particular problem with Bodyslide 2.

However, if I want to use an additional bodyslide-compatible mod such as ChronoTrigger's Vanilla Armour Replacer (http://www.nexusmods. im/mods/25259/?), then Bodyslide won't detect the new meshes. If I copy them manually into the bodyslide directory, they show up properly in Bodyslide, but any modifications on them will NOT show up in-game, which is kind of frustrating. Bodyslide tells me that it has generated the meshes, but they don't show up anywhere, not even in the "Overwrite" folder (where they should be, imho).

Any help with this?

EDIT: Okay, here is one possible solution:

2 ) Install any other Bodyslide-Compatible armor mod

3 ) Open the mod directory of your Bodyslide-Compatible armour mod in Mod Organizer (right click on the mod -> open in explorer)

4 ) Copy the contents of the "Caliente Tools / Bodyslide" folder

5 ) Open the mod directory of Bodyslide 2 (right click on mod -> open in explorer) and paste the previously copied files into "Caliente Tools / Bodyslide"

6 ) Run Bodyslide 2 from Mod Organizer, do any tweaks and changes you wish

7 ) IMPORTANT: Hold down the left CONTROL key on your keyboard when clicking on "Batch Build" in Bodyslide.

8 ) IMPORTANT: After selecting the bodies to build, hold the left CONTROL key down again when clicking on "Ok" in the dialog

9 ) Another dialog should pop up, asking you *where* to put the files. Direct it to "Mod Organizer / overwrite / meshes" and click ok.

NOTE: If you want to make changes in bodyslide, just repeat Steps 6 ) to 9 ).

This will drop the files in the right place and you will see the changes in-game. It's not as tedious as it sounds here. Still - if anyone as a better solution that avoids the overwrite folder of MO, please tell me

Install CBBE (including bodyslide et. al.) directly into MO as a normal mod.

Since it may hit you later: Currently, FNIS 5.1.1 is balking at this method on my machine, due to Fore adding a pathname check in his executable that is erroneously able to see the real path outside the VFS. He thinks that his check is helping (it is helping people that are daft enough to still trash their Skyrim Steam Library data folder).

Note that the executables function in MO is the right way to set up for all your patching and cleaning. You do the same as above for basically everything, from WryeBash (bashed patch) and SkyProc (reproccer, asis), to LOOT (BOSS v3) and TES5Edit (mod merger).

Settings

Fallout 4

Outfit/Body
