Fallout 3 fose как установить

I have Mod Organizer and installed FOSE I have some mods installed and even without the mods the game keeps crashing in around 5-10 mins of play time. When I launch the game from steam though everything is fine and it doesn't crash. I did everything in the Ultimate Fallout 3 Setup Guide sticky as well and it's not working too.

My PC can handle the recommended settings for the game, I'm also using windows 7

Any help is appreciated guys :)

It's not FOSE, try running the game in Compatability mode for XP service Pack 3, FO3 can be finicky when using win7/win8.

Also did you save the game while the mods were active? if so then that might be the cause of it.

and which version of fose did you download the stable or the beta?
try also removing the mod organizer.

Try launching the game through steam instead of FOSE, if it still crashes then try setting FalloutLauncher.exe (it might show as just FalloutLauncher) set it to compatability mode for WinXP SP3 then launch via steam, if it works after that I'd say you found your problem.

Fixes that worked for me

find (control F) bUseThreadedAI=0
CHANGE to bUseThreadedAI=1
Immediately after this line, ADD this new line:
iNumHWThreads=2

Set FalloutLauncher, and Fallout3 to Compatability Mode: WinXP SP3

use GFWL Disabler to disable Games for Windows Live

Set FOSE to run as administrator

Note: I use all these fixes for my game and it works fine, the use of any single fix but not the others may not work, so I highly recommend using all of them.

FOSE, or Fallout Script Extender, is a third-party application for the PC version of Fallout 3. Fallout Script Extender allows gamers to create and edit mods (short for modification) that alter the game's programming code, adding or changing features that are not included in the original game package. FOSE can be used on any computer that has the Fallout 3 game and is fairly easy to install.

Установка:
Распаковать файлы (все файлы без исключения, вместе с папкой scr) архива в корневую папку игры, а именно:

Для того, чтобы в дальнейшем запускать игру с уже установленным FOSE через Steam, нужно проделать пару простых шагов.

1. Для начала перейдём в корневую папку с игрой.
2. Затем нужно найти ярлык игры Fallout 3Launcher.exe и изменить его название на - Fallout3Launcherbackup.

3. Теперь нужно найти foseloader (естественно с вашей версией FOSE) и переименовать его в FalloutLauncher.

✓ Готово, теперь мы смело можем запускать игру с установленным FOSE через Steam. Надо отметить, что поддержки Games for Windows Live FOSE не предусматривает, так что игра будет работать без поддержки злобного лайва.

1)Решение большинства проблем на Win 7
Возможно вы установили полный русификатор игры и столкнулись с проблемой вылета игры при запуске. Или данная проблема возникла у вас, после неправильной установки FOSE. Отличный и проверенный временем способ решения данной проблемы, который работает на Win 7 и 8:

Для решения данной проблемы надо найти файл Fallout.ini в директории Мои документы/My Games/Fallout3 (надо заметить, что и в корневой папке игры это проделать так же рекомендуется) и в нем в разделе [General] нажатием Cntrl+F находим следущую строчку:

bUseThreadedAI=0 и меняем ‘0’ на ‘1’. Кроме того нужно обязательно добавить строчку
iNumHWThreads=2 (если у вас её нет) в этот же раздел и сохранить файл.

2) CFF Explorer.

Чтобы использовать программу нам надо перейти в корневую папку сыгрой и найти ярлык под названием Fallout 3.exe. Далее правой кнопкой мыши выбрать следующий параметр - Open with CFF Exporer и соответственно открыть данную программу.

После этого надо перейти в раздел File Header и вправом нижнем углу нажать на Click Here. Далее нужно найти строку под названием - ''App can handle>2gb address space и поставить возле неё галочку.
Далее нажимаем OK и сохраняем наши действия. Теперь ваша игра будет использовать более 2GB оперативной памяти.

И так, стоит отметить, что эти способы во многом помогли мне решить проблемы с игрой. Скажу лишь, что делать всё это стоит осознанно и с умом, если вы чего-то не знаете и не понимаете, тогда стоит ещё погуглить и найти доп.информацию, которую я так же могу разместить тут. Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition

I've installed and ran the base game, and placed the Fallout script extender 1.3 in the game directory correctly. However, running it through wine or as a non-steam game via proton, does not work. Only launching the game from Steam, and not the FOSE version, works. How do I fix this situation?

Manjaro 21.2.0 Qonos Linux 5.14.10-1, GTX 1650, AMD 3750H. Fallout 3/NV work fine on Windows for me.

I renamed the original launcher to FalloutLauncher-original.exe and renamed the FOSE launcher to FalloutLauncher.exe in order to get it to launch properly under Steam / Proton.

For what it's worth, I did still need to fix up some graphical errors and such for some mods, I think mainly from upper & lower case filename problems.

It has been quite some time since I added FOSE, so my memory of setting it up is not great.

In future, I believe that it would be better for me (under Linux) to instead use the "Tale of Two Wastelands" mod, combining Fallout 3 + DLC into the New Vegas game.

I have read that it is a better way to play modded Fallout 3 under Linux, avoiding some of the graphical errors that I encountered, though it may be that some mods are not compatible under that setup.
