Обновлено: 06.07.2024

Hi SpaceDock users! SpaceDock will be unavailable for a little while starting 2021-10-13 8:00 UTC to install several fixes and improvements:

× Done! You'll get emailed updates for this mod. Version of EVE plugins which highly improves performance. Use as a replacement for regular EVE: Visual enhancements including clouds, lights, etc. Based on the work of rbray89, WazWaz, R-T-B, BIOZ

Game Version: 1.12.2

A few modern rendering tricks are used to improve performance:

Cloud shadows are rendered using the depth buffer instead of re-rendering most of the scene's geometry with a projector (saves a lot of CPU time, culling the scene+sending draw calls)

Celestial shadows are also rendered using the depth buffer instead of re-rendering most of the scene's geometry with a projector (saves a lot of CPU time, culling the scene+sending draw calls)

All the particles in a volumetric cloud layer are rendered at once in a single draw-call, instead of one draw-call per particle, saving CPU time

One MeshRenderer and one GameObject per volumetric layer instead of one per particle

Volumetric particles are rendered at 1/4 the screen resolution then upsampled with a depth-aware filter and composited into the scene, saving GPU power

17 июл. 2018 в 4:37 doesnt it add clouds because i cant see any or do i have to get another mod for the clouds? 17 июл. 2018 в 4:40 The basic EVE download should come with the "BoulderCo" Sample config. 17 июл. 2018 в 4:43 i need that for the clouds? just looked and couldnt find it in there. 17 июл. 2018 в 4:44

Hmm, actually seems like he stopped including them since they haven't changed.

Also to clarify; there are a lot of different configs available for EVE. You should take a look at some of them.

17 июл. 2018 в 4:53 do the different configs change how cloudy it is and other stuff because i dont really know what they do at all 17 июл. 2018 в 5:24 do the different configs change how cloudy it is and other stuff because i dont really know what they do at all

They can change the look of the game entirely, in many different ways.

Some go for realism like SVE.

Others go for a more colorful look like Sci-Fi visual enhancements.

17 июл. 2018 в 5:27 mhm sounds kinda interresting sci fi isnt really for me because im building propeller planes but nice xD
17 июл. 2018 в 5:35 another question do you know a mod where when you hit the ground with a wing slightly it doesnt make the wing explode instantly and just starts to spray sparks? i had that mod one time dont know its name anymore though and if its up to date 17 июл. 2018 в 6:04 You would want to take a look at three mods - collisionfx (sparks) kerbal krash System (deformation of parts) and I believe the last one is called destruction effects (fire and smoke) Enjoy :-) 17 июл. 2018 в 6:21 17 июл. 2018 в 6:27 17 июл. 2018 в 6:36

Afaik CollisionFx isn't working with the latest version of KSP currently.

DestructionFx was pretty buggy last time I used it, does look to be 1.4.x compatible though.

Kerbal Krash System is also kind of buggy, not sure if it's been kept up to date either. Latest version was for 1.3.1 but some people say it still works, albeit not terribly smoothly.

8 июл. 2019 в 14:12 so i have it installed but the in game UI tells me too add configs for all the components but it does not tell me how or were to do so.
pleas help as i want clouds 8 июл. 2019 в 15:08

There are also mods that add their own configs, like Astronomers Visual Pack, Stock Visual Enhancements, Spectra, etc. If you use any of these, you have to delete the BoulderCo folder, since having multiple configs at the same time can lead to bugs.

8 июл. 2019 в 20:07 I tryed the SVE but if all you must do is place the file in game data i think somthings wrong 9 июл. 2019 в 1:42 You could try adding Astronomer's Visual Pack. Just make sure to follow the instructions. 9 июл. 2019 в 3:13

EVE is just a tool mod. It doesnt come with any of the required textures on its own.
You need visual packs to do so.

Google KSP SVE, Kerbal Stock Visual Enhancement or Astronomers pack for starters.
And KS3P while you are at it, though i fear there will be many many more questions then :D

I’m having a lot of trouble installing EVE on the newest version of KSP and it doesn’t appear to be on CKAN. I’ve used the version on Curse and followed their instructions but it still won’t work. Any help would be appreciated!

Officialy its not yet compatible with 1.9.1 but it works just fine. In CKAN you need to enable displaying mods for previous versions. Go to Settings and the bottom option is "Compatible KSP versions" check 1.8 and you should be fine.

I use Astronomers Visual Pack Beyond (AVP), it’s compatible with 1.9 You can try AVP if the others don’t work.

EVE is sort of like a mod that’s just the base. It provides the tools to create the effects. So to have said effects you need a config. Iirc EVE comes with a default config labeled BoulderCo. So you have to install that and the EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements Folders into your Gamedata will give you the clouds. If you’re using a custom visual config like AVP or Spectra you only need the EVE folder
