Version v1.1

  • There's now a new "High" version which increases the weapon FOV even higher
  • Slightly increased the FOV for some weapons in the "Normal" version
  • Got rid of the sensitivity scaling. Now all weapon's sensitivity will be whatever you set it at in the game's settings
  • Made it so now you can still see the Gauss Cannon when you zoom in with the Charged Sniper mod, similar to the Arbalest mod in DOOM Eternal

Increases the viewmodel FOV of each weapon by anywhere from 0.05-0.20 depending on the weapon, allowing you to see more of it. I also slightly decreased the size of most of the reticles as well, making them more the size of the ones in DOOM Eternal. I think they look much better, especially with the higher FOV weapons.

Once you've done that just drag n' drop the zip file into the "Mods" folder in your DOOM 2016 install directory.

There is a trend for some time now in the FPS genre where for unknown reasons the models of the weapons take too much of the screen. DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal suffer from the same problem. The low viewmodel field of view can sometimes cause headaches. It's even worse on ultrawide monitors or multi-monitor setup.

This mod changes the viewmodel FOV from 0.05-0.20 depending on the weapon.

NOTE: USE ONLY FOR SINGLEPLAYER. MAY GET YOU BANNED IF YOU ENTER BATTLEMODE WITH MODS LOADED.

II. Extract the zip to your DOOM Eternal installation's folder

For example D:\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOMEternal

IV. Drag and drop the zip file in "Mods" folder in your DOOM Eternal install directory.

V. Run EternalModInjector.bat

When you run it for the first time, it will show important information about what the batch file does and what to do if something goes wrong.


1. Сменить в настройках "Интерфейса" "Цветовой профиль интерфейса" на - "ОАК", он самый лаконичный и не отвлекает слишком пёстрыми цветами, как это делают остальные профили.
2. В настройках "Видео" - убавить "Яркость ящиков с припасами" до нуля (0), после чего припасы разбросанные по миру, выпадающие из монстров и ключевые предметы станут светиться менее насыщенным цветом.
3. Отключить в настройках "Игры" "Подсветку для зверского убийства" (монстры перестанут светиться всеми цветами радуги, но понять что пришло время добивания всё ещё можно по анимации монстра, к этому просто нужно привыкнуть) ,
4. В настройках "Интерфейса" отключить параметры: "Отметки целей" и "Компас", - так играть и исследовать мир станет намного интереснее, и вам нужно будет активнее исследовать карту (как в DooM 1,2,3), при этом "Цель и описание" миссии, вы в любом случае сможете узнать просто нажав клавишу "Alt".

Increases the viewmodel FOV of each weapon by anywhere from 0.05-0.20 depending on the weapon allowing you to see more of it. Works perfect for all weapons through the whole game, except for when you first get the Super Shotgun you can see that he's missing his right arm, but it only lasts for a second then it's fine for the rest of the game. If that bothers you there's an alternate version that leaves the Super Shotgun unchanged. Fixed in version 1.01

For some reason the Slayer's right arm mesh and Doomblade are hidden for most of the weapons. I guess it's because you normally wouldn't see them anyways. As of version 1.1 the right arm mesh and Doomblade have been unhidden for the rest of the weapons as well.

Will most likely conflict with any other mod that changes the weapon values, but I can make a compatibility patch if the other author is alright with it, or they can make one themselves if they want.
