Death stranding content

Сейчас доступны две игры: Death Stranding Director's Cut и Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

• Мотоцикл в стиле Cyberpunk 2077 с продвинутой функцией прыжка;

• "Серебряная рука", созданная по образцу протеза Джонни Сильверхенда, которую можно экипировать и использовать в игре;

• Новые голограммы, включая вывеску с символом SAMURAI и голограмму с транспортом Atlas Trauma Team;

2020 в 18:02 So i bought the game today because it was kinda at a low price, i was hyped to play it and, guess what.
I can only play in fullscreen and window mode 16:9 - 1280 x 720 (ugly quality + ugly black borders up and down)
or in same option, but 21:9 - 1720 x 720 (looks better, but big ugly black borders)
the problem is
i have a 16:10 monitor screen. I do not want to play this way. Can someone tell me how can i change this please? Because i don't want to play a cyberpunk buggued like game 21 дек. 2020 в 19:49

It’s not a bug per say. Devs got lazy and never included aspect ratios beyond 16:9 and never gave the game the ability to properly detect your windows resolution like a normal pc game.

But there IS a solution. Many of us with the same problem have followed posts similar to this:

Only thing is you will need to find the hex code for 16:10.

22 дек. 2020 в 8:29 Yes, i found what you were talking about when i did my research, but i do not know anything about hex codes, and so i'm unable to find the 16:10 one 22 дек. 2020 в 9:33

The hex code edit worked for me before the last DS patch, I'm using 3440 x 1440, after the patch that solution does not work (for me at least).

This is the old hex fix instructs with all hex codes for various res. Might be helpful for other games so think about bookmarking it. I didn't know anything about hex edit before either, but it is dirt simple, follow instructs.

Possible two new methods to fix, using no hex editor, but have to download an .exe patcher, either the 'Trainer' version or the 'Patcher' version. I went with 'Patcher'. Back your DS.exe up first.
22 дек. 2020 в 10:21 Ok hang tight. I think I have a fix that doesn’t involve editing the exe. I won’t be able to write the steps for a few hours. 22 дек. 2020 в 13:23 Ok hang tight. I think I have a fix that doesn’t involve editing the exe. I won’t be able to write the steps for a few hours.

Popcorn and waiting. :)

So here is what I have been doing for a few builds now. Let me know if it works for you.

1. Go to your Death Stranding folder (..\Steam\steamapps\common\Death Stranding
2. Make a copy of settings.cfg to save as your backup.
3. Edit settings.cfg. Notepad is fine. Make these changes:

4. Save and close the file.
5. On the file: Right click > Properties
6. At the bottom of the window: Attributes: check mark Read-Only. Click Apply and OK.
7. Start Death Stranding.
8. You will get error: Invalid Graphics Configuration. Window Setting Ignore. Just click OK.
9. At the moment you will still see black bars in DS.
10. Click Options > Graphic Settings > Change Aspect Ratio to 21.9.
11. Push Escape > Error Changes will be lost. Click OK.
12. Push Escape to go back to main menu.
13. No more black bars. Start game to confirm.

This currently works for me with my 16:10 resolution, and I am running the latest patch of ds.exe which is version 1.0.6.0, and it is unaltered.

The only thing about this is you DO need to make that graphic setting every time you start the game, but after a while I have gotten use to it, and it only takes a few seconds. A few versions ago I was using a tool that adjusted your FOV and resolution, but it caused the game to crash. Since then I've simply gotten used to only changing the graphic setting in-game. If it works for you, then great! It is convenient for anyone that doesn't want to edit their .exe and doesn't want to download any 3rd party patches or tools.

22 дек. 2020 в 15:33 thank you for all of the answers, i'm going to try right now 22 дек. 2020 в 15:38

about the borders on the left and right, i noticed one more thing, the text is starting in the black borders, so, i miss some words, the game is more hmm. "little" (like if there was a dezoom) 22 дек. 2020 в 15:46 Ok hang tight. I think I have a fix that doesn’t involve editing the exe. I won’t be able to write the steps for a few hours.
