Borderlands 3 ошибка the ue4 oakgame

Cant even get pass the loading screen. Says something like Oak UE4 Error.
Not surprised this game has been a mess since launch on EPIC.

Getting the exact same “the ue4 oakgame game has crashed and will close fatal error unhandled exception 0x80000003” with all the bifrost.dll errors pictured in the redit link in the comment above.
I was playing just last night after updating my video drivers. It ran error free.

What does this mean, and how do I fix it? I should note that this is not a start up issue. I get to the in-game menus just fine. It's when I actually try to load and play the game that it crashes after roughly five seconds of play time.

Also having this problem after the patch or an upgrade to a 2080 super
This game is still so bug ridden - crashed 3 times in the last 3 days including this error today.
Crashed at the menu screen.
Ok update your GPU driver. Because you’re on Linux, recompile your kernel. If you’re on AMD, choose AMDGPU and pack in your firmware blobs along with every other thing you need, and if on Nvidia get the latest proprietary driver. Nouveau ain’t gonna do anything. Make sure steam, proton, wine, etc are updated. Don’t be alarmed, there are even issues on Windows right now.
edit: i tried both dx12 and dx11, and it seems that directx11 is more stable.
How can you switch to DX11?

This file is empty and will be cleared on every start of the game. The game itself makes it to the small window with a splash screen and is covered by a window with "the ue4-oakgame will close"
i just bought the game. updated my bios to the latest bios.

Open your Nvidia control panel, and disable shader caching for this game only.

Found it, did it. Now it says 0xc06d007e Kernelbase.dllunknownfunction
