Bepinex valheim вылетает

One of us is super safe with his downloading behaviour and not-so-tech-savy to trust source code.

Norton is flagging the Preloader.dll as a threat and automatically deleting it. Sadly can't provide the reason as Norton isn't stating any.

Is there any way to resolve this? I know this is because of the behaviour of BepInEx and how it works.

I've also already submitted to Norton's Customer Support noticing them of a false positive. They claim it's 48 hours but I've submitted at around the same time I've notified you of this.

By now I've also got the reason why Norton is flagging it. It's their generic Reputation reason (WS.Reputation.1) basically stating "Hey, this DLL has weird behaviour (as it's injecting other DLL's to a process, as such modifying behaviour of an existing program) and we don't know it yet". It's also most DLL's in BepInEx that get flagged like that - and most DLL's that have to do with modding in general.

Thanks for the response, however. As long as Norton doesn't process the submission we're "stuck" with not using Mods at all.

It's been quite a while since this happened. I also sent out a report yesterday, but it's too yet to be processed.

Since it's unlikely to change for now, and I haven't received any further reports on this, I'll close the ticket for now.
If there are any updates or renewed reports, we can reopen the ticket or create a new one.

I'll keep the ticket unlocked so that everyone can still post updates and replies here.

allright, found the culprit: "betterUI" mod

just uninstalled it, validate my files via steam and boom, jumping IS BACK!

Although I will miss the mod, very useful infos given by it (time left for cooking, brewing growing things ect. chest occupied slots, and loads of other QOL stuffs. )

Restart really a solution?? at this point.. anyway having same issue locked up my mods in another folder. still no jump, however, still getting BepInEx errors on loading, even after the lock down of my mods.. do not know what is causing the error which may be the culprit of why we cant jump..just a thought.. any ideas?

16 сен в 17:49 I had that issue, along with a handful of others. Disabled all my mods and it works fine, just 100% vanilla. A couple have updated and work as intended.

Delete your main game files (except for your world and character of course. ) , re-download & reinstall clean. Clearly some residual mod file is causing you an issue if you're getting BepInEx errors.

A clean vanilla install is your best option right now, and then you can keep an eye on your favourite mods & re-apply them when they're updated to this game version.

Начнем с самого начало изменений качество игры.
Еще можно понизить Разрешение (ну это как крайняя мера)
  1. Для этого нажимаем на игру правой кнопкой мыши
  2. Наводимся на "Управления"
  3. И нажимаем на "Посмотреть локальные файлы"

Дальше заходим в "valheim_Data".

И находим файл с названием "boot.config" и открываем через блокнот.

Добавляем две строчки строго сверху списка:
"gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1
gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1"

Дальше сохраняем и выходим.

  1. Нажимаем на игру правой кнопкой мыши
  2. Заходим на "Свойства"

Во вкладке "Общие" пишем в "Параметры запуска" строчку:
"-window-mode exclusive(с пробелом) -force-vulkan"

  1. Нажимаем на игру правой кнопкой мыши
  2. Заходим на "Свойства"

Дальше в разделе "Общие" убираем галочку на "Включить оверлей Steam в игре"

Открываем панель управления NVIDIA правой кнопкой мыши

Заходим "Управление параметрами 3D"

Потом в "Программные настройки"

  1. Нажимаем "Пуск" и заходим в "Параметры"

  2. Заходим в раздел Игры

  3. С правой стороны находим "Сопутствующие параметры" и нажимаем на "Настойки графики"

  4. Оставляем "Классические приложения" и нажимаем на "Обзор" дальше находим "valheim.exe" в локальных файлах самой игры
  5. Потом жмем по иконке игры, потом "Параметры" и ставим "Высокая производительность"
  1. Запускаем игру
  2. Открываем Диспетчер задач
  3. Находим игру Valheim, нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши и заходим "Подробно"

  4. Потом опять нажимаем правой кнопкой мыши, наводимся на "Задать приоритет" и нажимаем на "Реального Времени"
  1. В самой игре открываем консоль, нажав клавишу "F5"
  2. Пишем "lodbias 1" и нажимаем enter (По умолчанию стоит 2) (можно еще ставить 0.5 если с FPS все плохо)

Снижает некоторые внутренние графические значения для увеличения частоты кадров. Прирост fps может варьироваться в зависимости от системы.

Функции:
- Отключить анизотрофную фильтрацию
- Уменьшить расстояние LOD
- Уменьшить размер текстуры вдвое
- Установить макс. предварительно обработанные кадры до 1
- Установите Raycast частиц на кадр на 1
- Уменьшить максимальное количество светлых пикселей на объекте
- Отключает датчики отражения в реальном времени
- Отключает каскадные тени
- Отключить тени
- Отключает мягкое смешивание для частиц
- Отключает двухпроходный шейдер для растительности ландшафта.
- Отключить все эффекты постобработки

Инструкция по установке
Если вы устанавливаете это вручную, сделайте следующее
1. Распаковать архив в папку. Не распаковывать в папку с игрой.
2. Переместите содержимое папки `plugins` в` <GameDirectory> \ Bepinex \ plugins`.
3. Запускаем игру.

Describe the bug
Installing BepInEx into the game directory (and nothing else) results in the game crashing immediately on startup.

To Reproduce

  1. Extract "BepInEx_x64_5.4.5.0.zip" to game directory
  2. Run "valheim.exe"

Expected behavior
Game should run, config file "BepInEx.cfg" should be created.

Screenshots and logs
There are no error messages displayed, and no logs are created (by default).

Editing doorstop_config.ini to have "redirectOutputLog=true" gives output_log.txt.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Game and game version [e.g. COM3D2 1.15]: Valheim 0.143.5 (2021-02-09)
  • UnityPlayer.dll version: 2019.4.16
  • BepInEx version [e.g. 4.0]: 5.4.5.0

Additional context
Attempted solutions:

Cleaning the game directory and installing Bleeding Edge "BepInEx_UnityMono_x64_7fa0e8c_6.0.0-be.344.zip" allows the game to run, but no evidence of BepInEx being loaded. "BepInEx.cfg" is not created, no log files are created. Even after manually creating an appropriate "BepInEx.cfg", no log files are created and the console window does not open. No log file is created by Doorstop, even with "redirectOutputLog=true".

Installing "BepInEx_UnityIL2CPP_x64_7fa0e8c_6.0.0-be.344.zip" also allows the game to run, but similar results to above. However, a log file is created by Doorstop when configured: output_log.txt

Last attempted solution was to use newer version of Doorstop (from Bleeding Edge) with release BepInEx. Game starts, but again no evidence that BepInEx is loaded.

Attempted debugging with dnSpy, but crash apparently happens too fast for debugger to attach. (And this is getting pretty far outside my experience.)
