Slaves of Rome is a real-time adult 3D game with "indie-AAA" or "AA" (we hope) graphics where you play a Roman merchant.
The game is a 3rd person 3D game made with cutting edge graphics. Through the game you'll be playing a Roman merchant, and yes, this entails what you are thinking about right now.
For a while, we've been looking for a real adult game with realistic graphics and good game play with some (consensual) bdsm elements, but sadly, didn't find much. So.. we decided to make it on our own and we hope we did a good job so far - we welcome you to join this journey with us.
While all the relations in the game are consensual, In roman times, the masters could do. well..anything as long as they under his rule. "Training" the slaves was a part of the day routine and the Roman's duty! In this situation you really could tell who the person is. Some masters were nice people and tried making life better for their slaves. some. well. not all slaves are that lucky.
Lucky for you though. you were born a master. A true Roman! They chose to be slaves for one reason only - to serve you. You can also trade the slaves you have trained with other players, send them to missions to earn you money and build your reputation.

It's not all fun and games however. For decades, your family was bringing the best slaves in the republic. You are mostly known for your ability and knowledge in training the most hard, stubborn northern women and bending them to the will of the empire! However, with the last war, money ran out. Now that victory has been achieved on the northern boarders, slaves are pouring in again and you. you know just what to do with them. It's time to fill your purse (and your dungeons) with new toys. And YOU, my noble master.. you know just how to do that.

Slaves of Rome is an adult RPG training simulation game with a strong emphasis on consensual BDSM.
You can also be a nice master, form a real bond with your slaves (each, with unique back story and personality) or more of a "average" Roman master have a more dominating personality.
You can play both male and female, as it is important for us to make the game LGBTQ+ friendly and to correctly reflect history.
Each slave is unique and will be shaped in your shadow with a unique story and a unique skill tree built by you after the training sessions.
You are also able to send your slaves to missions to earn gold and even trade them with other players (once they agree to it)in the online auction house.

If there is one thing we don't want to be is one of those "forever on-going" projects. We have a clear deadline for this project and as mentioned, we are actually game developers in our daily lives, so we believe we are realistic. (because you know. game developers are well known for being realistic when it comes to release dates!). The game will be done within a year and hopefully after it, we can move on to the next awesome game. Here is our progress bar:
We plan to follow it and be very open about the development. Hopefully, we can create something you'll all enjoy and you'll chose to stay here after the release for our next games, but in any case, we'll make sure we are on time and this is up to you or at least that we are honest about delays.
As you can see, we plan to launch the demo/prototype within one month from the page launch (meaning August 1st). This means you'll get the playable version as soon as your first payment has been processed!

Release Date?
What happened to the Release Date? It was suppose to be coming out on the 15th and now it is coming out on the 31st March. Why? The only reason I can think of is perhaps the developer wants to add more content.

There seems to have been no word from the devs or any recent postings from them. Is Slaves of Rome officially dead here on Steam?

Never Coming
I am convinced this game will never be released. They are obviously using Steam as an advert for their subscription platform. I will never buy it there out of principle. Steam force them to give a release date or kick them off as I am fed up with waiting for this game and am convinced it is a con.
